A new multifunctional Metalworking training laboratory is about to be opened in Valmiera Vocational Training Center, where practical training in mecatronics, mechanics and metalworking, welding, telemechanics and logistics, as well as computerized numerical control (CNC) training will take place. The laboratory has been made to create a unified training complex in the metalworking sector in Valmiera.

The program to support entrepreneurship is implemented by four municipalities - the city of Valmiera and the counties of Beverina, Burtnieki and Koceni. For the third time in 2020, applying for funding will take place. The minimum amount of financial support per innovation project is EUR 2 000 and the maximum amount of financial support is EUR 10 000.
During Vidzeme Innovation Week you will have the opportunity to visit a Bio-based Pop-up Store, with products from all over Europe. The store will be build up at Lielā Skolas iela 6 in Cesis and be open from 24.02 – 28.2. The exact opening times are announced in the official event programme of Vidzeme Innovation Week. Entry is free of charge!
