Vidzeme Innovation Week 2022 is devoted to symbiosis in its broadest sense. At the conference "Symbiosis: solution in resource-tight circumstances” Vidzeme Planning Region wants to look at the varied opportunities and strength of symbiotic relations.
What contribution can application of the principle of symbiosis provide for development and innovation ability of an undertaking, organisation and the society as a whole?
How is it possible to not only co-exist and survive, but grow together by sharing available resources?
Nowadays availability of resources provides essential basis for innovation and growth, but globally we experience insufficiency of resources, therefore it is important that available resources are managed in a smart and long-term way. Resources comprise not only material resources and raw materials, but also information, data, energy, technological, financial and human resources. We would like to encourage Vidzeme residents to know their resources, to see each other’s strengths and to face challenges jointly.
Innovation emerges at the points of intersection of different fields and know-how, and symbiosis can contribute to development of such points of intersection.
