2021 was the first year when the population and household census was performed by using only administrative data, thus Latvia will follow the model set by developed Nordic countries.
In the workshop the representatives of the Central Statistics Bureau will inform about available data from the point of view of municipalities, territorial units, as well as cells of various sizes, which could help local governments to gain insight about what is happening in the territory of the municipality or its individual parts.
Māris Pūķis, a senior advised of the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments, will speak about how the data of the population and household census can be used in administration of municipal territorial units.
